Local Health Unit of Região de Aveiro

The Local Health Unit of the Aveiro Region, EPE (ULSRA), is a public corporate entity of the National Health Service created in 2024, following the merger of the Baixo Vouga Hospital Center (CHBV) and the Baixo Vouga Health Center Group (ACES BV). It comprises three hospital units (Aveiro, Águeda, Estarreja) and 10 health centers in the 10 municipalities that make up the ULSRA (with 36 Family Health Units and Personalized Health Care Units, in addition to 10 Community Care Units and 1 Public Health Unit).

MISSION of ULSRA: Ensure the health of the community by guaranteeing access to integrated health care, personalized throughout the life cycle, creating value and trust, investing in training and research.

VISION of ULSRA: To be recognized as a reference brand in person-centered healthcare, based on best clinical and management practices, ensuring its sustainability and the appreciation of professionals.

The ULSRA is part of the Egas Moniz Academic Clinical Center (CAC-EMHA).
