Services

Recruitment

Consists in the creation of a digital channel to promote clinical studies. It aims at facilitating recruitment of participants.

Data entry for Case Report Form (CRF)

It allows Data Entry to be contracted to record clinical study data on the Case Report Form (CRF), guaranteeing the accuracy and integrity of the data collected.

Strategic Planning and Optimization

Assist CRSs in building a strategic vision, developing action plans, and enhancing their operational efficiency, enabling greater effectiveness in resource utilization throughout clinical studies.

Contracting of Network Studies

Support the development and mediation of the collaboration protocol and the respective contract between CRSs when participants are referred for clinical research purposes.

Regulatory Affairs

It consists of providing support to identify legislation and regulation applicable to the study, and preparing answers to requests from regulatory bodies.

Feasibility

Allows the submission of support requests for country/site feasibility, analised by a dedicated team.

Support with quality assurance

Provide support and advice in the preparation of contractual documentation or other study documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.

The Portugal Clinical Studies is a platform by the Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation Agency that brings together a dynamic and specialized team to help streamline and expedite the processes inherent to your clinical study.

Why Portugal?

Positioning Portugal among the most attractive countries for conducting clinical trials in the European Union is the vision of the Portuguese government for the field of clinical research. Clinical trials are one of the main strategic areas for the development of healthcare in Portugal.

New Map of Clinical Trials launched in the EU

The Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS)️ launched the new interactive map that facilitates access to information about clinical trials in the European Union on March 3, 2025.

This map allows users to search for ongoing Clinical Trials (CT) by location and medical condition, as well as access investigator contact details to learn how to participate in the CT.

Clinical Research Sites (CRSs)

Come and meet the entities conducting clinical studies at the national level.

The CRSs, also known as Clinical Research Sites, drive comprehensive clinical research, ranging from study development to professional training, promoting collaboration and excellence in the healthcare field.
