Fostering excellence and generating impact in clinical research in Portugal

The IC&IB performance indicators represent a strategic milestone for the Clinical Research Centers (CIC) of healthcare units. Developed with the goal of promoting operational efficiency, strengthening the national research network, and positioning Portugal as an international reference in the field of biomedical research, these indicators are an essential tool to enhance the quality and competitiveness of clinical research in the country.

New Clinical Trials Map launched in the EU

The Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS)️ launched on March 3, 2025, a new interactive map that facilitates access to information about clinical trials in the European Union.

This map allows searching for Clinical Trials (CT) that are currently ongoing, by location and medical condition, as well as accessing the investigators' contact details to learn how to participate in the CT.
