PSOPortugal - Associação Portuguesa da Psoríase

The PSOPortugal is a non-profit healthcare organization with nationwide scope. 

Its mission is to support those living with the disease by promoting the sharing of knowledge, best practices, and experiences.

Objectives:

   - Advocates for the rights of patients in their professional and social lives, providing support through protocols that ease disease management.

   - Works to ensure early diagnosis and access to appropriate treatments, contributing to the development and implementation of the Chronic Patient Status.

   - Promotes access to Dermatology consultations within the NHS and demands the availability of innovative and subsidized treatments.

   - Establishes strategic partnerships with healthcare professionals, technical entities, and the pharmaceutical industry, supporting research and scientific dissemination.

   - Develops social and cultural awareness campaigns to inform the public and dispel harmful myths, such as the incorrect notion that the disease is contagious.
