The Beatriz Ângelo Hospital is a public hospital, integrated into the National Health Service, and inaugurated in January 2012.
The vision of Beatriz Ângelo Hospital is to be a benchmark operator in healthcare, through high-quality medical practice and excellence in coordination and integration with various levels of care. Its mission is to provide healthcare to the population within its area of influence, with absolute respect for the individuality and needs of patients, based on principles of effectiveness, quality, and efficiency; to contribute to the development of research and to the training of professionals in its area of activity.
It has been accredited by the JCI since 2018 and holds environmental certification under the ISO 14001 standard as well as quality certification under the ISO 9001 standard | Pharmacy, Imaging, and Sterilization, Nuclear Medicine.
The Beatriz Ângelo Hospital has 424 beds for operations carried out by approximately 1,200 staff members.
In the research area, the hospital:
- Develops, promotes, and supports research;
- Encourages the development of new methodologies that add value to the care provided to our clients.
As an integral part of Hospital da Luz Learning Health, we have a team of 11 staff members, including clinical trial coordinators, project managers, contract managers, and research grant managers.
In 2019, Luz Saúde launched an internal funding call for investigator-initiated project proposals, a strategic initiative by the group in clinical research. These grants aim to contribute to the promotion, structuring, and professionalization of research within the group.
