Provide healthcare services with efficiency, quality, in a timely manner, and at socially affordable costs to the population within its area of influence and to all citizens in general; develop high-quality education as the Nuclear Hospital of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Beira Interior (Protocol No. 11/2001, published in the Diário da República, II Series of April 16, 2001); and participate in undergraduate and postgraduate education, in collaboration with Nursing Schools and Higher Education Schools of Health Technology, ensuring excellence in education across various areas of healthcare provision.
Vision
CHUCB is a unit of the Portuguese National Health Service that positions itself as a modern and innovative hospital unit, being an institution of reference in providing excellent healthcare services to the populations residing in the municipalities of Covilhã, Fundão, Belmonte, and Penamacor.
